Citywave Pro WORLD TOUR Tokyo
July 15th and 16th sees the first artificial wave pool world tour in commence in Japan. With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics fast approaching, the popularity of surfing in Japan has skyrocketed, and keen to build on this momentum, organisers have put on the Citywave pro WORLD TOUR in Tokyo. JEEP is sponsoring the event with 10,000 pounds in prize money on offer. Pros and amateurs are invited to take part in the event.
Citywave Tokyo is an artificial wave pool right in the heart of Tokyo. Buying a Citywave pass can see you riding waves for as little as ¥1,240 per session.
Citywave Tokyo is a short 5 mins walk from Oimachi Station.
Their website claims the wave height for general surfers is 80cm going up to 120cm for “advanced” surfers.
