Olympics Surfing Competition Schedule Details Announced

The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee has just announced the details of the surfing schedule, just in time before tickets go on sale for the events after May.

The opening ceremony will be held on July 24, 2020 and the closing ceremony will be on August 9th.

The “Olympic Surfing Festival” (a tentative name at this stage) will be held from July 26 to August 2, with 4 days allocated to the comp depending on the condition of the waves.

As is normal with surfing events, they also noted that “The competition schedule may change depending on the conditions of the waves.
