The Greenroom Festival with its concept of “Save The Beach, Save The Ocean” was held on May 21 & 22, 2017 in Yokohama, Japan.
Every year through music and art, the festival aims to convey the beach lifestyle and culture through music and art.
This year’s event was successful for the organisers, having sold out.
4 music stages showcased different artists across the two day festival. Michael Franti and Spearhead were the headline act, along with some fine tunes being belted out by the likes of Ray Barbee, local Japanese superstar Chara, and SOJA from the good old USA.
The three main experiences at the festival are to do with Music, Art, and Film. There was also a “Free” area for fans of the beach culture to access without the need for buying a ticket.
Many domestic and international artists had their works on display at the festival again this year, including Kevin Butler (Rad Cars with Surfboards), Matthew Wigglesworth, Jonas Claesson, and Jason Woodside from Happy Bones fame. Joel Tudor also showed up as did skateboard legend Steve Cabellero.
